The JUMPP Project
Juneau United Medical Providers and Parents (JUMPP) is a project to help pediatricians and family physicians in Juneau play a stronger role in providing prevention services to families.
Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are piloting a system of well-child checkups with screening for family stresses.
Your child's pediatrician or family physician can provide a referral to JUMPP.
Those with a need can be referred to a reimbursable, family-centered counseling program and to other supportive community resources.
This webpage was developed to tell families human service providers and other community members about the project, and to provide downloadable forms and information for physicians and families.
Families can contact community resources directly about a variety of needs and concerns such as child development, behavior issues, family stresses and economic needs. Click on a link on the right hand side of this page to see more information about local resources.
A family doctor or nurse can provide a referral to the free family-centered counseling program that meets monthly at Harborview School.
