• Talk to your child before the visit on what to expect.
• Listen to your child’s concerns and reassure them.
• Bring a list of questions or concerns to discuss during your appointment.
• Share information on how your child is changing.
• Ask about resources that may help your child and family.
• Ask about how to get care after hours if needed.
• Show appreciation.
